Development
Throughout our history, PGW has been at the forefront of geophysical software development.
Our alumni Ian MacLeod and Colin Reeves founded Geosoft Incorporated, now an industry leader of geophysical software. Throughout the 80s to 00s PGW has developed and integrated various Geosoft Executables (.gx) into Geosoft's Oasis Montaj, some of which are considered standard processes in processing and interpreting geophysical datasets. Below are a list of .gx's that have been successfully applied industry-wide.
-
Decorrugation and Microlevelling
decorr.gx and miclev.gx removes any low amplitude component of flightline noise still remaining in airborne survey data after tie line levellingRead more » -
Coastplot
With coastplot.gx, you can easily add planimetry to your Oasis Montaj mapRead more » -
Compu-drape™ 1D for Profile Data
The Compu-DrapeTM1D GX performs height continuation on aeromagnetic profile data to remove the effects of variation in terrain clearance from line-to-line and/or at traverse-tie line intersectionsRead more » -
Compu-drape™ 2D for Grid Data
drape2d.gx drapes potential field data to any reference surfaceRead more » -
Horizontal Gradients to Total Field (GRAD2TMI)
grad2tmi.gx calculates a total magnetic field grid from two horizontal gradient Hx and Hy gridsRead more » -
Keating Magnetic Correlation Coefficients for Kimberlite Exploration
Keating's method utilizes a simple pattern recognition technique to locate magnetic anomalies that resemble the response of a modelled kimberlite pipeRead more » -
Source Edge Detection
sed.gx estimates the location of abrupt lateral changes in magnetization or mass density of upper crustal rocksRead more » -
Source Parameter Imaging™
Source Perimeter Imaging is a quick, easy, and powerful method for calculating the depth of magnetic sourcesRead more » -
Continuous Reduction to the Pole (VaryRTP)
varyrtp.gx varies the Earth's magnetic inclination and declination to generate a grid that is reduced to the pole everywhereRead more »
